The Global Egyptian Museum

The handle of a large-sized faience lamp depicts the goddess Isis, depicts the goddess Isis, the faithful wife and the kind mother. She is seated on a throne wearing Greek clothes and a crown on her head with her twisted plaits falling on her shoulders.

She is shown with her son Harpocrates, also known as Horus, on her lap. She holds him with her left hand and nurses him with her right. The goddess and her son were an important decorative reference to Cleopatra and her son Caesarion.

Ce manche de lampe de faïence de grande taille représente la déesse Isis, épouse fidèle et gentille mère. Assise sur un trône, elle porte des vêtements grecs et une couronne. Ses tresses retombent sur ses épaules. Elle porte son fils Harpocrate, également connu sous le nom d'Horus, sur ses genoux.

Elle le tient avec la main gauche et l'allaite avec la droite. L'image représentée par la déesse Isis et son fils Harpocrate faisait référence à Cléopâtre et à son fils Césarion.

مقبض مسرجة كبيرة الحجم مصنوعة من الفخار، تمثل عليها المعبودة إيزيس، الزوجة المخلصة والأم الحنون، وهي جالسة على العرش، وتمثل حاملة لابنها حربوقراط (حورس)، تمسك به باليد اليسرى وترضعه مستعملة يدها اليمنى. 

وهي مصورة ترتدي ملابس يونانية وعلى رأسها تاج، وتتدلى ضفائرها المجدولة على الأكتاف. وتمثل الإلهة وإبنها مرجعاً هاماً لصورة كليوباترا وابنها قيصرون.
