Description
The statue depicts the goddess Aphrodite and her son Eros. In this statue, she is about to take a bath, and is attended by a winged Eros. She is placing her sandal aside, resting it on the vessel set beside her. Her head is decorated by a "stephane" crown, a high, triangular-shaped headpiece that rests on her wavy locks of hair, knotted at the back. She wears two bracelets in the shape of a snake on her arms. The left forearm and the hand are missing, as well as a part of the crown. Restorations can be seen on her neck, left foot, her arms, and the legs of Eros.
