The Global Egyptian Museum

The finely made tombstone is carved in white marble. The relief on the tombstone depicts the deceased as a blind person, half nude, with a well-depicted athletic body.

He is sitting on a Greek chair with a foot stool and playing his lyre. He is looking backward with his head raised upward, revealing a young face with long hair. 

The name of the deceased, Theophilos, is written in Greek at the top of the tombstone.

Taillée dans du marbre blanc, cette pierre tombale est ornée d'un relief. 

Ce dernier représente le défunt sous les traits d'un aveugle à moitié nu et au corps d'athlète. Jouant de la lyre, il est assis sur une chaise grecque pourvue d'un tabouret. 

Son regard est tourné vers l'arrière et sa tête est levée, révélant un visage jeune aux longs cheveux. 

Le nom du défunt, "Théophilos", est écrit en grec sur la partie supérieure de cette pierre tombale.

نحت شاهد القبر الأنيق من رخام أبيض، إذ يصور النقش على ذلك الشاهد المتوفى رجلاً أعمى شبه عار مفتول العضلات. 

وقد جلس على كرسياً إغريقياً وموطئاً للقدم، وهو يعزف على قيثارته ملتفتاً وراءه مرفوع الهامة كاشفاً عن وجه شاب طويل الشعر. 

وقد كتب اسم المتوفى ثيوفيلوس بالإغريقية على قمة الشاهد.
