Amulet (sphinx and inscriptions)

2347b.jpg.jpg

Small rectangular-shaped plaque, pierced longitudinally. On one surface, a sphinx is depicted wearing a false beard and the atef-crown inside a border together with two superposed neb signs ("lord, all, every") above its back. On the reverse, the name Menkheperre (Thutmosis III) is written inside a border but the scarab sign is placed horizontally, not vertically like all the other signs.
