BrE.2617(1).jpg
BrE.2617(2).jpg BrE.2617(3).jpg

These three wooden planks come from a rectangular box that was about 70 cm long and 25 cm wide and served as a coffin. The hieroglyphic texts on two of the three fragments confirm that the owner was a dog called Aya. The coffin probably dates from the Middle Kingdom.
