BrE.8365(2).jpg

This small amulet in blue-green faience takes the form of a crocodile. The sacred animal of the god Sobek, venerated in all of Egypt and who was considered as much an assailant as a protector, is here depicted on a small flat socle. Under the mouth of the reptile we find a hole for suspension.
