The scene on this stela shows the elite soldier Hesi standing in adoration before a statue of Ramesses II. The king wears the Double Crown and the royal kilt. In between the two stands a libation vase on an offering table with a large lotus flower above it. In addition, there is a water container and its stand. The dedicator is identified as a soldier by his distinctive kilt and the baton carried under his left arm. The former designation of his profession as "trumpeter" is to be rejected.
"[1] Use-maat-Re Setep-en-Re, Montu [2] of the Two Lands" (name of the statue represented) "[3] Made by the soldier Qabeh-[4]hesiu (?), [5] may he live and be rejuvenated:"
