Description
Faience flat-backed head of a feline, as an amuletic item of jewellery. Parallels in more precious materials indicate that the most common feline head used as an amulet in this manner was that of the leopard, evoking perhaps the leopard skin worn by the man reciting the funeral rites.

Faience kop van een katachtige met platte achterkant. Gebruikt als een amuletachtig sieraad. Parallellen in meer kostbare materialen laten zien dat het meest gebruikte hoofd van een katachtige dat op deze wijze als amulet werd toegepast de kop van een luipaard is, dat wellicht geassocieerd werd met het luipaardvel dat de priester droeg die de funeraire riten oplas.
Tête d'un félin en faïence dont l'arrière est plat, servant d'amulette protectrice portée comme un bijou. Des parallèles en matériaux plus précieux indiquent que la tête féline la plus souvent utilisée comme amulette était celle du léopard, évoquant peut-être la peau de léopard portée par le prêtre qui récitait les formules rituelles.
Kopf eines Feliden aus Fayence mit flacher Rückseite, ein Schmuckstück mit Amulettcharakter. Parallelen aus kostbareren Materialien verweisen darauf, daß der häufigste Felidenkopf, der in dieser Art als Amulett verwendet wurde, der eines Leoparden war, der sich vielleicht auf das Leopardenfell bezog, das der Mann trug, der die Totenriten rezitierte.

Paralleli in metalli più preziosi indicano che la testa più comune di felino usata come amuleto era quella di leopardo, evocando forse il fatto che la pelle di leopardo era indossata dalla persona che recitava i riti funerari.

Paralelos em materiais mais preciosos indicam que a cabeça de felino mais usada como amuleto era a do leopardo, invocando talvez a pele de leopardo utilizada pelo homem que recitava os ritos funerários.
