The Global Egyptian Museum

The rectangular decorative ornament shows the side view of a bird, probably a sparrow. There are four flowers, three above and one below it. 

The ornament was made by notching. Its floral designs, made by sunken relief, include a branch with three closed roses, and an open rose in the center depicted above the bird. The bird's body was carved to a deeper level than the ground, or surface, of the ornament. 

The details of the body of the sparrow were engraved in low-relief, which means they were left at the same height as the ground. Although the surface area of the ornament is small, the artist paid attention to the details of the beak, the eye, and wings.

A red color, now pale, was used in coloring the legs of the bird, the lower part of the wings, and the interior cuts of the closed roses

De forme rectangulaire, cet ornement décoratif montre un moineau de profil. On peut également voir quatre fleurs dont trois au-dessus et une en dessous. 

L'ornement en question fut réalisé par entaillage. Exécutés en relief en creux, les motifs floraux comprennent une branche composée de trois roses fermées et d'une ouverte située au centre, juste au-dessus de l'oiseau. Le corps du moineau fut taillé plus profondément que la surface de l'ornement. 

Les détails de son corps furent gravés en bas-relief ce qui signifie qu'ils ont été laissés à la même hauteur que le sol. Bien que la surface que couvre l'ornement soit petite, l'artiste accorda une grande attention aux détails du bec, de l'oeil et des ailes. 

Du rouge fut utilisé afin de colorer les pattes de l'oiseau, la partie inférieure de ses ailes et les entailles internes des roses fermées.

الزخرفة منفذة بالنقش الغائر للأشكال النباتية، التي تتمثل في فرع تخرج منه أربع زهور مقفلة فيما عدا الزهرة التي في المنتصف أعلى الطائر، وفي حين نحت جسم الطائر ليكون مستواه منخفضاً عن مستوى الأرضية.

إلا أن تفاصيل الجسم من الداخل حددت بالبارز، أي تركت في نفس إرتفاع الأرضية، وعلى الرغم من صغر المساحة إلا أن الفنان أبدع في توضيح التفاصيل كالمنقار والعين والجناح وأرجل الطائر بشعبها الثلاث الحادة. 

استخدم اللون الأحمر لتلوين أرجل الطائر والجزء الأسفل من الجناح والحزوز الداخلية للزهور المغلقة.
