Description
The Tanagra statue depicts a girl wrapped in a coat, with one foot forward, and her leg slightly bent. The arm and the bent knee under the coat show the movement of the clothes. Her hair is neat, twisted into a bun shape and decorated with leaves and fruits from the willow tree. The Tanagra figurines are distinguished by a diversity of shapes. They generally portray women. They were named after a small town named Tanagra in Boeotia, Greece where many similar statues were found.

Cette statue de Tanagra représente une fille drapée dans un manteau, un pied en avant et la jambe légèrement courbée. Le bras et le genou plié sous le manteau montrent le mouvement des vêtements. Les cheveux sont soigneusement remontés en chignon et ornés des feuilles et des fruits d'un saule. Les figurines de Tanagra se distinguent par une grande diversité de formes. En général, elles représentent des femmes. Le nom de Tanagra provient d'une petite ville éponyme située en Béotie (Grèce) où de nombreuses statues similaires furent retrouvées.
يصور تمثال التناجرا فتاة متدثرة بسترة إذ تتقدم بإحدى قدميها إلى الأمام مثنية الركبة قليلاً حيث يبين الذراع والركبة المثنية تحت السترة حركة الملابس. وشعرها أنيق معقوص في شكل عقدة ومحلى بأوراق وفاكهة شجر الصفصاف. تتميز تماثيل التناجرا بتنوع أشكالها وهي بعامة إنما تمثل النساء، وهي تحمل اسم مدينة صغيرة تسمى تناجرا في بيوتيا باليونان حيث عثر على كثير من مثل تلك التماثيل.
