The white marble bust of Serapis wears the kalathos, or "sacred basket of mysteries" on his head. His head and beard are covered with thick curly hair, while five locks fall on his forehead. 

On the face, there are traces of gilding. Found at the Serapeum of Alexandria, perhaps Serapis is depicted with the same iconography as the famous cult statue sculpted by Pryaxis, a great sculptor, which was placed in the interior of the Serapeum.

Ce buste en marbre blanc représente Sérapis coiffé d'un "kalathos" ou panier sacré des mystères. Les poils de sa barbe sont drus et bouclés. Quant à ses cheveux, ils sont épais et cinq mèches retombent sur son front. Son visage porte également des traces de dorure.

تمثال نصفي لسرابيس من الرخام الأبيض، وهو يحمل سلة الأسرار المقدسة - الكالاثوس. وشعر الرأس والذقن كثيف ومجعد، وتتدلى من شعر الرأس على الجبين خمس خصلات وعلى الوجه بقايا طلاء بالذهب. 

اكتشف التمثال في سيرابيوم الإسكندرية. وربما صور سيرابيس هنا مثل تمثال الطقس المشهور الذي نحته النحات العظيم برياكسيس، والذي وضعه في داخل السرابيوم.
