Core formed, handled, cosmetic vase of glass

1886331.JPG

The technique and decorative motif on this Rhodian type of miniature handled vessel are similar to Egyptian and Cypriot products a thousand years earlier. In the Late Period, Egypt had strong links with Rhodes, where the main temple dedicated to Hera included an unusually large number of Egyptian votive offerings.
