Dit papyrusfragment (P. Fay. 217), dat afkomstig is uit Euhemeria en dat dateert uit de 2e of 3e eeuw van onze tijdrekening, bevat op het verso een uittreksel van de "Akten van de Alexandrijnse martelaren". Deze geschriften, die ontwikkeld zijn tijdens het Keizerrijk, bejubelen de weerstand van Alexandrijnse patriotten tegen de machtsoverschrijdingen van het keizerlijke gezag. Ze danken hun naam aan de gelijkenis in toon en geest met de "Akten van de christelijke martelaren". Het recto draagt een fragment van rekeningen.

This fragment of papyrus (P.Fay. 217), which comes from Euhemeria (Qasr el-Banat) and which dates from the 2nd or 3rd century of our time, contains, on the recto, an extract frm the "Acts of the Alexandrian Martyrs". These writings, which were developed under the Empire, praise the resistance of alexandrian patriots to the encroachment of imperial power. They owe their name to the similarity of tone and spirit with the "Acts of Christian Martyrs". The verso carries a fragment of accounts.
Ce fragment de papyrus (P. Fay. 217), qui provient d'Euhèméria et qui date de 2e ou 3e siècle de notre ère, contient, sur le côté verso, un extrait des "Actes des martyrs alexandrins". Ces écrits, qui se sont développés sous l'Empire, exaltent la résistance de patriotes alexandrins aux empiétements du pouvoir impérial. Ils doivent leur nom à la similitude de ton et d'esprit avec les "Actes des martyrs chrétiens". Le côté recto comporte un fragment de comptes.
Dieses Papyrusfragment (P. Fay. 217) aus Euhemeria, das in das 2. oder 3. Jahrhundert n. Chr. datiert, enthält auf der Rückseite einen Auszug aus den "Akten der alexandrinischen Märtyrer". Diese Schriften, die während des Kaiserreiches verfaßt wurden, preisen den Widerstand der alexandrinischen Landsleute gegen die Übergriffe der kaiserlichen Regierung. Sie verdanken ihren Namen der Ähnlichkeit in Ton und Geist mit den "Akten der christlichen Märtyrer". Auf der Vorderseite befindet sich ein Teil einer Rechnung.
Questo frammento di papiro (P. Fay. 217), che proviene da Euhemeria e che data al II o III secolo della nostra era, contiene, sul verso, un estratto degli "Atti dei martiri alessandrini". Questi scritti, che si sono sviluppati sotto l'Impero, esaltano la resistenza dei patrioti alessandrini contro le usurpazioni del potere imperiale. Estes textos, que se desenvolveram sob o Império Romano, exaltam a resistência dos patriotas de Alexandria contra os abusos do poder imperial. Devem o seu <!-->nome à semelhança, no seu tom e no seu espírito, com os «Actos dos Mártires Cristäos». O lado contrário contém um fragmento de contas.
