Beschreibung

Tx. 0060).
New technology appeared in Egypt at the start of the Christian era. The looms became more complicated and the fabrics more complex. The wool "taquetés" with a checkerboard motif are the oldest examples of this advance in technology. As the development progressed, the decorations began to consist of meanders, octagons and birds. This example consists of a plain purple band and a piece of beige and brown wool made up of registers of flower motifs in a geometric network of meanders (compare ACO.Tx. 0060).
Tx. 0060).
All'inizio della nostra era, in Egitto apparvero delle nuove tecniche. I telai cosí come i tessuti diventano piú complessi.
Tx. 0060).
