Description
Reconstructed necklace composed essentially of thick, disc-shaped beads of turquoise-blue enamel and five groups of disc-shaped beads of ostrich eggshell - three in the centre and two at the extremities. Disc-shaped beads of blue enamel and of ostrich eggshell are found in great quantities in Nubian burials of the 3rd and 2nd millennia B.C., when they were used to create necklaces, bracelets, belts and decorative motifs for clothing.

Collier reconstitué composé essentiellement de perles discoïdes épaisses en pâte bleu turquoise et de cinq groupes de perles discoïdes en coquille d'oeuf d'autruche, trois au centre et deux aux extrémités. Comme ici les perles discoïdes de pâte émaillée bleue et d'oeuf d'autruche sont trouvées en grand nombre dans les sépultures nubiennes des 3e et 2e millénaires avant J. C. où elles servent à composer colliers, bracelets, ceintures, motifs de décoration des vêtements.
