Questa figurina di terracotta rappresenta il dio Bes su un'alta base rettangolare. Completamente nudo, il dio nano portava originariamente una corona di piume di struzzo. Egli brandisce una corta spada al disopra della testa. Nella mano sinistra regge uno scudo ovale. Sembra che Bes in veste di guerriero era particolarmente venerato dai soldati stabilitisi in Egitto. Il pezzo data all'Epoca Greco-Romana.

Dit beeldje uit aardewerk stelt de god Bes op een hoge rechthoekige sokkel voor. De dwerggod is geheel naakt en was oorspronkelijk voorzien van een kroon met struisvogelveren. Hij zwaait een kort zwaard ter hoogte van zijn hoofd. In zijn linkerhand houdt hij een ovaal schild. Het lijkt erop dat Bes in zijn hoedanigheid van strijder vooral vereerd werd door in Egypte gelegerde soldaten. Het stuk dateert uit de Grieks-Romeinse Periode.
This figurine of terracotta depicts the god Bes on a high rectangular socle. Totally naked, the dwarf-god was originally dressed with a crown of feathers. He brandishes a short sword above his head. In the left hand he holds an oval shield. It seems that Bes as a warrior was particularly venerated by soldiers based in Egypt. The piece dates from the Graeco-Roman Period.
Cette figurine en terre cuite représente le dieu Bès sur un haut socle rectangulaire. Entièrement nu, le dieu-nain était originairement coiffé d'une couronne de plumes d'autruche. Il brandit une courte épée au-dessus de la tête. De la main gauche, il tient un bouclier ovale. Il semble que Bès en tant que guerrier était particulièrement vénéré par les soldats établis en Égypte. La pièce date de la Période Gréco-romaine.

Exibe um curto gládio por cima da cabeça e segura na mäo esquerda um escudo oval. Parece que Bes, na sua qualidade de guerreiro, era particularmente venerado pelos soldados estabelecidos no Egipto. A peça data da Época Greco-romana.
