Description
Récipient de stockage en terre cuite peinte en bleu, provenant d`Amarna. Cette ville de Moyenne Égypte fut fondée, sous Akhénaton, pour accueillir sa résidence et le centre du culte solaire. Le bleu de cobalt est typique de cette ville, dont les habitants étaient friands de couleurs, construite à l'apogée des échanges commerciaux entre l'Égypte et d'autres centres de production. Les céramiques fabriquées pendant d'autres périodes de l'histoire de l'Égypte ancienne étaient plutôt unies.

Blaubemaltes Vorratsgefäß aus Ton, aus el-`Amarna, der unter Echnaton in Mittelägypten als Residenz und Zentrum des Sonnenkultes gegründeten Stadt. Das kobaltblaue Pigment ist typisch für den farbenfrohen Geschmack dieser Stadt, die zu einer Zeit intensivierten Handels zwischen Ägypten und anderen Produktionszentren errichtet wurde. Zu anderen Zeiten tendierte die ägyptische Keramik zur Unverziertheit.
