Description
The remains of the head of a portrait-statue in white marble of Alexander the Great in Greek style. The nose and the chin are chipped. The features here are depicted in Lysippan style, mixed with the softness of Praxiteles. The snaky hair points to the heroic side of the Alexander's personality. The head turn slightly to the left, with an upward eye look. The lips are fleshy.

Il s'agit des restes de la tête d'une statue en marbre blanc taillée à l'effigie d'Alexandre le Grand selon le style grec. Mélangés à la douceur du sculpteur Praxitèle, les traits sont représentés d'après le style de Lysippe. Les cheveux ondulés soulignent le côté héroïque de la personnalité d'Alexandre le Grand. La tête est légèrement tournée vers la gauche et les yeux sont levés ; quant aux lèvres, elles sont charnues. Précisons également que le nez et le menton sont ébréchés.
بقايا رأس تمثال من رخام أبيض للاسكندر الأكبر على الأسلوب الإغريقي وقد كسرت الأنف والذقن، حيث صورت القسمات هنا على النمط الليبى مختلطاً بنعومة المثال براكسيتلس. يشير الشعر الثعباني إلى الجانب البطولي من شخصية الاسكندر، حيث يلتفت الرأس قليلاً إلى اليسار مع نظرة إلى أعلى وشفتين ممتلئتين.
