The Global Egyptian Museum

The gold coin of Ptolemy the First was minted in Alexandria. On the obverse is the head of Ptolemy the First Soter with his long nose and prominent sideburns, wearing a diadem, a type of crown. Part of the circular granulation can be seen. 

On the reverse, the Ptolemaic eagle stands on a thunderbolt looking to the left. The eagle is bound by the legend in Greek "of Ptolemy, the king" on a ribbon. 

Part of the circular granulation also can be seen on this side.

Cette pièce en or de Ptolémée Premier fut frappée à Alexandrie. Sur l'avers, on peut voir la tête de Ptolémée Premier Sôter avec son long nez et ses pattes proéminentes ; ajoutons qu'il est coiffé d'un diadème. 

Une partie des granules circulaires est encore visible. Sur le revers, l'aigle ptolémaïque se tient sur un éclair et regarde vers la gauche. Selon la légende grecque, ce grand rapace est celui du roi Ptolémée. 

Une partie des granules circulaires est également visible sur cette face.

عملة ذهبية لبطلميوس الأول تم سكها في الأسكندرية. على وجه العملة منظر لبطلميوس الأول سوتير بأنفه الطويل المميز وسوالفه البارزة.

ينظر إلى اليمين ويرتدي عصبة الرأس، ويوجد جزء من حبيبات دائرية واضحة، وعلى الظهر نسر يقف على صاعقة ناظراً إلى اليسار، حيث أنه طبقاً للأسطورة اليونانية هذا النسر يرمز للملك بطلميوس . 

ويوجد جزء من حبيبات دائرية واضحة على هذا الوجه.
