The Global Egyptian Museum

The glass mask was used as a mold for actors' masks. The principal design depicts half of an actor's mask without frame or frieze, a decorative band. 

The face is red and the hair on the side of the face, the eyebrows, the mustache, and the beard are white or light gray. 

The mouth, the shadows, and the lines of the mask are black. Yellow is present on the forehead and in the hair on top of his head. Blue is also visible on the forehead and the background mass is green. 

These masks were used as male and female masks, as well as, slave masks in satiric pieces and new comedy.

Ce masque en verre servait de moule pour les masques d'un acteur. Le motif principal représente la moitié d'un masque d'acteur sans cadre ou frise.

Le visage est de couleur rouge; quant aux cheveux sur les côtés, aux sourcils, à la moustache et à la barbe, ils sont blancs ou gris clair. 

La bouche, les cernes et les traits du masque sont noirs. Des traces de couleur jaune sont visibles sur le front et dans les cheveux sur le dessus de la tête. Le front présente également des traces de couleur bleue ; quant à la masse de fond, elle est verte. 

Ces masques était utilisés pour réaliser les masques d'hommes, de femmes, d'esclaves portés dans les satires et dans la nouvelle comédie.

قناع زجاجي استخدم كقالب لقناع ممثل. هذه القطعة بها الموضوع الرئيسي بدون إطار أو إفريز، وهو عبارة عن نصف قناع لممثل، ولقد تم تلوين الوجه باللون الأحمر في حين لون شعر الجانب والحواجب والشارب واللحية باللون الأبيض أو الرمادي الفاتح. أما الفم والظلال والخطوط فقد لونت باللون الأسود. 

يظهر اللون الأصفر على الجبين وفي الشعر، كما جاء اللون الأزرق أيضاً على الجبين، أما الخلفية فهي باللون الأخضر.

هذا وتعتبر هذه الأقنعة من فئة الأعمال الساخرة والكوميديا الجديدة مثل أقنعة الذكور والإناث والعبيد.
