The Global Egyptian Museum

The terra-cotta statuette depicts a girl holding a triangular lute, lyre, or harp. She is standing on a base with her left leg to the front and a little bit bent. She wears a long dress with pleats and a cloth belt and she carries the harp behind her shoulder. 

Her face is full and round. She wears heavy earrings and a complicated and high hairstyle. 

The statuette has a hole in the back and has traces of crimson color. The portrayal of the girl musician appeared in the group of Tanagra figurines found in the necropolis of Alexandria. 

The Tanagra figurines are distinguished by a diversity of shapes. They generally portray women. 

They were named after a small town named Tanagra in Boeotia, Greece, where many similar statues were found.

Cette statuette en terre cuite représente une fille portant un luth, une lyre ou une harpe triangulaire derrière l'épaule. Elle se tient debout sur une base, avec la jambe gauche vers l'avant et légérement fléchie. Elle est vêtue d'une longue robe plissée munie d'une ceinture de tissu et porte l'harpe derrière son épaule.

Son visage est plein et rond. Elle porte de lourdes boucles d'oreilles ainsi qu'une coiffure complexe. 

Cette statuette a un trou dans le dos. Précisons également que des traces de couleur cerise sont encore visibles. Le portrait de cette musicienne compte parmi le groupe de figurines de Tanagra retrouvées dans la nécropole d'Alexandrie. 

Ces figurines se distinguent par une grande diversité de formes. En général, elles représentent des femmes. 

Le nom de Tanagra provient d'une petite ville éponyme située en Béotie (Grèce) où de nombreuses statues similaires furent retrouvées.

يصور تمثال الفخار المحروق الصغير فتاة ممسكة بعود مثلث، قيثارة أو هارب، إذ تقف على قاعدة وتخطو إلى الأمام بقدمها اليسرى مع انثناء يسير. 

تتخذ رداء طويلاً ذا ثنايا وحزاماً من نسيج كما تحمل الهارب من وراء كتفها، وهي بوجه مستدير ممتلئ، وتتحلى بقرطين ثقيلين وشعر عال متشابك التمشيط. وبالتمثال ثقب في الظهر كما أن عليه آثار لون قرمزي. 

يذكر أن تصوير الفتاة الموسيقية قد ظهر في مجموعة تماثيل التناجرا في جبانة الإسكندرية. تتميز تماثيل التناجرا تلك الصغيرة بتنوع أشكالها، وتصور بعامة النساء. 

حملت اسم مدينة صغيرة تسمى تناجرا في بيوتيا باليونان حيث عثر على الكثير من تلك التماثيل.
