The statue depicts a bare-headed young girl wearing a blue chiton, or knee-length garment, and pink himation, a rectangular cloth draped over the left shoulder and about the body. The beautiful statue was made from Tanagra clay. The hairstyle consists of simple tresses twisting at the back of the head. 

The Tanagra statues are distinguished by a diversity of shapes, portraying ladies in general. 

They stand in a posture usually seen in statues of philosophers, especially Sophocles, where the body weight is supported on one leg while the other leg is slightly bent.

Réalisée avec de l'argile de Tanagra, cette statue représente une jeune fille à la tête nue. Elle porte un chiton bleu, ou habit qui descend jusqu'aux genoux, et un himation rose, ou tissu rectangulaire drapé sur l'épaule gauche et autour du corps. 

La coiffure se compose de simples mèches tressées à l'arrière de la tête. Représentant en général des femmes, les statues de Tanagra se distinguent par une grande diversité de formes.

De plus, elles adoptent une posture que l'on retrouve habituellement chez les philosophes, en particulier Sophocle, où le poids du corps repose sur une jambe alors que l'autre est légèrement courbée.

يصور التمثال فتاة صغيرة عارية الرأس ترتدي خيتون (ثوب إغريقي) أزرق، أو ثوباً إلى الركبتين وهيماتون قرمزياً مع ثوب مستطيل يغطي كتفها الأيسر وسائر جسدها. 

وقد صنع هذا التمثال الجميل من فخار التناجرا حيث يؤلف تمشيط الشعر خصلات بسيطة معقوصة على خلف الرأس. 

تتميز تماثيل التناجرا بتنوع أشكالها التي غالبا ماتصور النساء، إذ تقف في وضع يرى عادة في تماثيل الفلاسفة وخاصة سوفوكليس حيث يعتمد اتزان الجسد على إحدى القدمين وتنثني القدم الأخرى قليلاً.
