The Global Egyptian Museum

This diadem, or royal headband, is formed of a series of horizontal and vertical decorations made of gold with inlays of semiprecious stones and glass paste. 

Each horizontal element is composed of a rosette flanked by two bell-shaped flowers heavily inlaid with carnelian, turquoise, and lapis lazuli. This decoration is repeated eight times. 

Two delicate ornaments were applied to the front and back of the diadem. The first is the branch of a tree. 

It is formed with a small gold tube onto which gold leaves were fused alternating with small flowers. 

The second ornament depicts the vulture goddess, Nekhbet, with her wings outspread as a sign of protection. 

She has two Shen signs, which symbolize eternity, gripped in her talons.

Ce diadème, ou bandeau royal, se compose d'une série de décorations horizontales et verticales en or incrustées de pierres semi-précieuses et de pâte de verre. 

Chaque élément horizontal comprend une rosette entourée de deux fleurs en cloche. Ces dernières sont incrustées de cornaline, de turquoise et de lapis-lazuli. Cette décoration est reproduite huit fois. 

Deux motifs raffinés furent également appliqués sur le devant et à l'arrière de ce diadème. Le premier représente la branche d'un arbre. Il est formé d'un petit tube en or sur lequel des feuilles dorées furent soudées en alternance avec de petites fleurs. 

Le deuxième motif, quant à lui, montre la déesse vautour Nékhbet, les ailes déployées en signe de protection. Dans ses serres, elle tient deux signes Shen, symboles d'éternité.

يتكون هذا الإكليل أو شريط الرأس الملكى من مجموعات من الزخارف الرأسية والأفقية المصنوعة من الذهب والمطعمة بالأحجار شبه الكريمة وعجينة الزجاج. 

ويتكون كل عنصر أفقى من زهرة محاطة بوردات على هيئة الجرس مثقلة بتطعيمات من العقيق الأحمر والفيروز واللازورد. وهذه الوحدة الزخرفية مكررة ثمان مرات. 

كما أضيفت زخرفة رقيقة على مقدمة ومؤخرة الإكليل. الأولى عبارة عن فرع شجرة مشكل من أنبوبة صغيرة من الذهب مثبت عليها ورقات من الذهب بالتبادل مع وردات صغيرة. 

أما عنصر الزخرفة الثانى فهو عبارة عن تمثيل المعبودة نخبت على شكل أنثى العقاب فاردة جناحيها كرمز للحماية، كما تمسك بمخلبيها علامتين ترمزان للأبدية والحماية.
