The Global Egyptian Museum

This perfectly preserved gray granite mummy-shaped coffin of King Psusennes the First was discovered in a pink granite sarcophagus. 

The lid is carved in the form of the mummy of the deceased, who is shown with his arms folded. The face is framed by a massive striped wig that descends to the shoulders, leaving the ears uncovered. Over the abdomen is a delicate depiction of the goddess Nut of the sky, kneeling with her arms and wings outspread. 

The external walls of the casket are densely decorated with the figures of various deities, flanked by their speeches to the deceased.

Ce cercueil momiforme en granit gris du roi Psoussenès Premier fut découvert dans un sarcophage de granit rose. Il était en parfait état. 

Le couvercle est taillé d'après la forme de la momie du défunt. Ce dernier a les bras croisés. Son visage est entouré d'une énorme perruque striée qui descend jusqu'aux épaules et qui laisse les oreilles découvertes. L'abdomen est orné d'une représentation de la déesse Nout agenouillée, les bras écartés et les ailes déployées. 

Les parois externes du cercueil comptent de très nombreuses figures de divinités. Ces dernières sont entourées des allocutions qu'elles destinaient au défunt

تابوت من الجرانيت الرمادي، بشكل مومياء، وفي حالة كاملة من الحفظ؛ وكان قد اكتشف أولا داخل تابوت من الجرانيت الوردي. 

ونحت غطاء هذا التابوت في شكل مومياء المتوفى، الذي صور بذراعيه مثنيين. والوجه محاط بإطار من باروكة مخططة ضخمة تتدلى إلى الكتفين؛ تاركة الأذنين مكشوفتين. وتظهر فوق البدن صورة دقيقة رقيقة للمعبودة "نوت" ربة السماء؛ راكعة، وقد مدت ذراعيها وفردت جناحيها. 

والجوانب الخارجية للتابوت تحمل زخارف كثيفة من أشكال الأرباب المختلفة؛ محاطة بكتابات لحماية المتوفى.
