Description
This chalice in the form of a lotus is decorated with a whorl of circles and sepals in low relief. The handle is a lotus flower and bud supporting the symbol of eternal life. The cup bears the names and titles of King Tutankhamun. The text around the rim expresses wishes for the king to live millions of years and to enjoy great happiness. On each side of the cup there are two birds.

En forme de lotus, ce calice est orné de cercles et de sépales en bas-relief. L'anse est composée d'une fleur de lotus et d'un bouton qui soutiennent le symbole de la vie éternelle. Ce calice porte les noms et les titres du roi Toutânkhamon. De plus, le texte inscrit sur le pourtour exprime le souhait du roi de vivre pendant des millions d'années et de jouir d'un grand bonheur. De part et d'autre du calice se trouvent deux oiseaux.
كأس قربان على شكل زهرة اللوتس، مزخرف بمجموعة من الدوائر وأوراق الزهر منفذة بالنحت الغائر. يأخذ المقبض شكل زهرة اللوتس؛ فوقهما علامة الحياة الخالدة. ويحمل الكأس أسماء وألقاب الملك توت عنخ آمون. ويعبر النص المحيط بالحافة عن التمنى بأن يعيش الملك لملايين السنين وأن يتمتع بالسعادة الكاملة. ويوجد طائران على كل من جانبي الكأس.
