This fan is one of many fans of various styles that were found in the annex of Tutankhamun's tomb, in the treasury and within the shrine. Like the others, it has lost its ostrich feathers. The exception is one small personal fan that was carried by the king himself.

This ceremonial fan of King Tutankhamun has a long handle made of ebony. The handle is in the form of a bunch of papyrus stems ending with the buds; above them there is an open, mature papyrus flower.

The top of the fan is beautifully decorated with two cartouches of the king in the center. These are surmounted by the royal winged uraeus and the solar disk flanked by two eyes of Horus for protection. Below that there is a graceful lotus flower.

Un des nombreux éventails de styles variée retrouvés dans l'annexe de la tombe de Toutânkhamon dans la trésorerie et à l'intérieur du lieu saint. Comme les autres, elle ne comporte plus ses plumes d'autruche. L'exception est un petit éventail personnel que portait lui-même le roi.

Cet éventail cérémonial du roi Toutânkhamon comporte une longue poignée en ébène en forme d'un bouquet de tiges de papyrus se terminant par des bourgeons; au dessus se trouve une fleur de papyrus ouverte.

La partie supérieure de l'éventail est somptueusement ornée en son centre de deux cartouches du roi. Elles sont surmontées de l'uraeus royal ailé et du disque solaire flanqué des deux yeux d'Horus en signe de protection. En dessous se trouve une gracieuse fleur de lotus.

مروحة تعد واحدة من كثير من المراوح المختلفة في الشكل؛ والتي عثر عليها بالغرفة الملحقة داخل مقبرة توت عنخ آمون وبالخزانة والمقصورة. وجميع المراوح فقدت ريشها، ومنها المروحة المعروضة؛ باستثناء تلك كان يحملها الملك نفسه.

ولهذه المروحة يد طويلة من الأبانوس، وتتخذ شكل حزمة من سيقان البردي التي تنتهي ببراعم تعلوها زهرة بردي ناضجة متفتحة.

وتزين قمة المروحة نقوش جميله يتوسطها خرطوشان للملك تحيط بهما الكوبرا الملكية المجنحة، وقرص الشمس المحاط بعيني حورس للحماية، كما تظهر تحته زهرة لوتس رشيقة.
