Macedonian Period

Macedonian Period.jpg

The term Macedonian Period is sometimes used to refer to the beginning of the Greek domination. Usually the general terms Greek Period or Ptolemaic Period are used, but strictly speaking that only began with the rule of Ptolemy I in 305 BC. The kings before Ptolemy I, that is, Alexander III (the Great), Philip Arrhidaeus and Alexander IV (the latter only ruled in name), together form the Macedonian Period.
