Sarcophagus fragment

A large piece of granite or basalt, probably from the sarcophagus lid of a queen or princess. The right side of the wig lappet and pectoral collar can be seen along with a rosette over the right breast. The patterns are lightly incised and the workmanship is very fine, the stone is polished and contoured.
