Description
Small hemispherical bowl with a thinned lip of Nubian tradition, late C-Group or Kerma. The clay is fine and burnished on the inside and slipped on the outside. The small irregular black border contrasts with the brick-red body. This object is similar to Kerma vessels often placed in rock-cut tombs of Mirgissa/Iken. This one was placed at the head of a coffin in a multiple grave at Mirgissa/Iken.
