Description
Shepenwepet the Second was adopted by Amunirdis to be her successor in the official titles of both God's Wife of Amun and Divine Votaress or Divine Adoratrice. This sphinx of Shepenwepet depicts her as the God's Wife of Amun-Re. She holds a vase topped by a ram's head wearing the uraeus. She wears a tripartite wig, which may have originally been gilded. The statue is sculpted in the elegant style that was traditional in the Late Period.
