The Global Egyptian Museum

More than 20 statues depicting Senenmut, the most favored and influential person during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut, were found in the Karnak cache. Eight of them portray Senenmut with Princess Neferure, the daughter of Queen Hatshepsut. 

This statue shows the nobleman with the features of a young man: full cheeks in a smooth round face, wide-open eyes with long lashes executed in relief, large ears, and a small, straight, full mouth. 

As Senenmut was her tutor, the princess' head emerges from his mantle. An indication of her position as heiress to the throne, the child wears her hair in the pleated tress characteristic of royal children, ornamented with the uraeus. Her name, inscribed within a cartouche next to her head, is preceded by the title "god's wife," most probably Amun-Re. 

This honorary and religious title began to be born by unmarried princesses from now on and was wide spread in the Late Period. 

The sides of the statue were ideal for a long text, listing Senenmut's numerous titles and functions in connection with the palace and with the cult of Amun

Plus de vingt statues représentant Senenmout, la personne la plus privilégiée et la plus influente au cours du règne de la reine Hatchepsout, furent retrouvées dans la cache de Karnak. Huit d'entre elles représentent Senenmout avec la princesse Néfrourê, fille de la reine Hatchepsout. 

Cette statue montre le noble sous les traits d'un jeune homme : joues rondes, yeux grands ouverts avec longs cils en relief, grandes oreilles et petite bouche sérieuse. 

Etant donné que Senenmout était le tuteur de la princesse Néfrourê, on peut voir la tête de cette dernière sortir de son manteau. En tant qu'héritière du trône, la jeune princesse porte la tresse plissée, caractéristique des enfants royaux. En outre, elle arbore l'uræus sur son front. Son nom, gravé dans un cartouche situé à côté de sa tête, est précédé par le titre d'épouse divine, "le plus propablement Amonre". 

Au début de cette ère, ce titre religieux et honnorant appartenait aux princesses non mariées, puis il était répandu pendant la Basse époque. 

Les côtés de la statue convenaient parfaitement à un long texte. Ainsi, elles permirent de dresser la liste des nombreux titres et fonctions de Senenmout relatifs au palais et au culte d'Amon.

عثر على أكثر من عشرين تمثالا لسنموت، أكثر الشخصيات نفوذا في بلاط الملكة حتشبسوت، في خبيئة الكرنك. كان منهم ثمانية تصوره مع الأميرة نفرو رع، ابنة الملكة حتشبسوت. 

وهذا التمثال إنما يمثل ذلك النبيل، بقسمات شاب بخدين ووجه ناعم مستدير، وعينين واسعتين، مع خطوط طويلة مصورة نحتا، وأذنين كبيرتين، وفم صغير مستقيم ممتلئ. 

كما تبرز رأس الأميرة من عباءته، إذ كان مربيها. وتتخذ الأميرة من الخصلة المكتنزة المجدولة، والمحلاة بالكوبرا، المعروفة عند أبناء الملوك، إشارة إلى أنها كانت وريث العرش. وقد تقدم اسمها المنقوش في خرطوش إلى جانب رأسها، لقب الزوجة المقدسة للرب "أغلب الظن آمون رع". 

هذا اللقب الدينى المبجل، كان يطلق على الأميرات غير المتزوجات بداية من هذا العصر، ثم أصبح أكثر شيوعاً فى العصر المتأخر. 

أما جوانب التمثال، فكتب عليها نص يعدد ألقاب الرجل الكثيرة، ووظائفه المتصلة بالقصر، وشعائر آمون.
